Who We Are
The Charlotte County Historical Society is a nonprofit organization based in Charlotte County, Florida that fosters awareness of the rich heritage of the county and encourages preservation and a broader appreciation of its historical communities. Started in 1969, the Society’s mission is to support local history programs, services, and projects.

Get Involved
The Society is an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff. It is sustained through membership, fundraising, and volunteer commitment. The Society hosts three fundraisers/festivals everyyear with proceeds supporting local history programs. We also manage several historical projects each year.
